The S-boom telescopic booms manufactured by Genie have been outfitted with an ability to work in heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters and a reach ranging from 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters. Telescoping booms have a much greater range of reach horizontally as opposed to other types of aerial work platforms. Genie telescopic booms are designed with consideration to being able to access tight places during construction and industrial jobs. They are also known for their ability to rapidly maneuver through a job site with great traction and drive speed. The platform turns 160° hydraulically and can stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters and come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for operators and tools. Continuous, 360° rotating turntables provide operators easy, quick positioning.
The Z-135/70 model comes equipped with a Jib-Extend, that is a telescoping jib. It extends from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This particular model could also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach tasks that were unreachable by traditional jibs before. A secondary reverse-articulating boom on the Z-80/60 model gives the user 8.83 meters of up and over reach. This feature enables up and over reaching tasks to be done with zero front arm swing.
Genie also provides the Fast Mast system that allows for valuable time to be saved when both primary and secondary booms have to be lifted or for lowering the platform without having to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system enables both booms to be elevated fully simultaneously. Both of Genie Fast Mast System's features reduces the time required for users to descend and ascend, increasing efficiency and productivity.
