Narrow Aisle Forklift
A narrow aisle forklift is used for lowering and lifting loaded pallets from high storage spaces. This particular model is recommended for work places with narrow spaces between aisles, like for example retail establishments or warehouses. The forklift has small, solid rubber tires that make maneuvering simple.
Generally, the operator of this specific kind of forklift stands up within a small cockpit. The stand-up design enables the narrow aisle forklift to be as short and narrow as possible. A stand-up cockpit forklift usually has three tires: one in the rear, and two in the front. This configuration enables for fast and easy maneuvering. There are several versions of these forklifts that come with a sit-down cockpit. The lift attachment is capable of pivoting to the sides, permitting the lift to be operated without the operator having to reposition the entire equipment. The sit-down model normally has four wheels.
An electric engine is utilized to power many narrow aisle forklifts. Machines that are electrically powered do not make exhaust fumes and are not noisy, making them the preferred choice for closed places like retail spaces. Some lifts come with a gas engine or a diesel engine. However, the diesel model is not suggested to be utilized indoors because it can be quite noisy and produce exhaust.
