The Carriage
Similar to typical lift trucks, the lifting attachment could be tilted from its horizontal position to backwards and forwards. The actual possible amount of tilt totally exceeds that of vertical mast forklifts. There is a huge variety of lifting attachments offered, and this ability to position makes them as efficient as possible.
Nearly all telehandlers are capable of tilting forward to a point where the carriage is actually parallel with the ground believe it or not! Additionally, many models offer rotating carriages as well. This allows the operator to radially adjust the lifting attachment. This translates to the load being able of being tilted backwards and forwards, as well as side to side.
Load Capacity
Telehandlers have a load capacity quite similar to that of the vertical mast model. The unit's overall capacity will be dependent on things like: boom angle and extension, whether the unit is lifting on rubber tires or on outriggers, and the amount of boom transaction deployed, if this is applicable. What's more, which lifting attachment plays a really important part, as does the wind, the grade the equipment is operating on and so forth. All of these specifics can be changing constantly and this gives the operator much more information to think about.
Telehandlers would usually have some different load charts available to them, giving them a good reference they can utilize to determine a certain lift's load capacity. Depending upon the model in particular and the configuration of the boom, the load capacity could vary by thousands of pounds all together.
