CareLift Equipment has been engineering and making quality rough terrain forklifts since 1962. Every day the company strives to deliver value and help their consumers reach their objectives because they know the bottom line is reliability and performance.
There are 2 general kinds of boom lifts. These models are articulated boom lifts and straight boom lifts. Normally, these units are hydraulically powered. Most often straight booms are the ideal option for tasks which need a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the machinery could rotate 360 degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom can be vertically raised to below horizontal. Because the operator could maneuver and steer the vehicle whilst the boom is fully extended, it is a very versatile machinery. These models are available in propane, gas or diesel configurations as well as 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive.
Articulated boom lifts are utilized for lifting cargo up and over obstacles and gain access to areas which were otherwise not accessible. These lift units perform jobs that straight telescopic booms cannot do. These lifts are practically like the straight boom lift in most aspects except in the ability of the boom to articulate. There are different articulation points on the boom in order to allow it to bend in a range of different directions allowing it to move easily around any objects within the work environment.
In order to maintain stability whilst the boom lift is completely extended, several heavy-duty boom lifts come equipped with outriggers. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra safety and confidence. Proper training is necessary prior to using boom lifts in order to guarantee the operator, the jobsite and everybody working in the vicinity stays safe.
Boom lifts enable tasks that used to require many more man power to be carried out in a much shorter time period. These equipment have revolutionized the material handling industry and have really increased productivity.
