Man Lift Designs

There is an extensive array of articulating lifts available. There is pretty much a style of lift to fit each circumstance, application and work venue. There are some manufacturers who specify in lifts for dangerous settings like for instance underground tunnel situations, petro-chemical plants, and other places where there is a risk of explosive gases or dust, for instance in grain-processing plants.

Some lifts have been mounted to big flatbed trucks or onto trailers or onto the back of a pick up truck. There are models which include articulating booms that could be self-propelled and are controlled by the lift operator, whilst others could pivot 360 degrees.

There are lift models designed particularly for outdoor and indoor application, and come in both 2-wheel and 4-wheel powered models. In some situations, the platforms are adjustable and some models feature baskets where the employee stands. These platforms or baskets are adjustable and enable the employees to swing into location or remain level, depending on what the operator should complete the job. There are some platforms and baskets that come wired in order to enable the operator to plug tools in as required.
